BPMA Celebrates 60 Years With Innovative Award



Marking 60 years of the British Promotional Merchandise Association (BPMA) and after an exciting first day of Merchandising World, the brand new and first of its kind award was revealed to an excited room of potential winners. For their anniversary year, BPMA had a full rebrand so wanted an award that represented this in an innovative and progressive way.
BPMA founded in 1965, promote the highest standards of quality, compliance and sustainability, as well as representing the industry, acting as the link between practitioners and the politicians and policymakers whose decisions impact the sector. They are responsible for the industry’s leading education and awards programmes, and conduct regular, insightful research exclusively available for the members.
Hosted at CBS Arena in Coventry the awards recognised the top players in promotional merchandising, independently judged member marketing campaigns and celebrated “the best of British” with the coveted BRIMAN Award. This year Total Merchandise took the prize for a second year running, whose dedication to promoting UK-made products earned them this Brit-centric honour. An unforgettable event to celebrate another exceptional year for the promotional merchandise sector.
Our Director Melanie & Sales Manager Oli had the honour of attending the glamorous event and to see the elation on the winner’s faces and had the pleasure of sitting on the same table as Victorinox from Switzerland. They won Supplier Marketing Campaign of the Year and said “It is beautiful such a clever design”
Ground-breaking Award Design
EFX are so proud to have created the first interactive award with a moving image. It cleverly reveals the winner’s name from a black and white version to full colour rendition inside a black acrylic frame. This means the winner can relive the moment again and again. It was a great way for BPMA to launch their rebrand ever further featuring their new bold and exciting brand colours.
BPMA’s CEO Phil Goodman had this to say about the exciting new awards – “‘We wanted an award that not only celebrated the incredible achievements within our industry but also reflected the bold and dynamic direction of the new BPMA brand. The interactive awards design perfectly captures the spirit of innovation that defines the BPMA today. Seeing the winners’ names come to life in such a unique way is truly unforgettable’.”
