Hoteliers Unite For Mews Unfold Celebrations

The perfect place for hospitality visionaries, inspiring innovators and thinkers to unite; for the fifth year running Mews headed back to the state-of-the-art venue Muziekgebouw in Amsterdam for their annual Mews Unfold event. Mews is the industry-leading hospitality cloud, used by hoteliers around the world to streamline their operations and transform the guest experience. Mews Unfold provides an exciting opportunity for its customers to hear inspiring stories from hospitality innovators and industry leaders, embrace best practices and emerging trends and connect with peers around the world. This year’s theme centred on shaping hospitality’s future.

The world is full of remarkable hoteliers – this event celebrated that. At the end of the event, Mews held The Unfold Awards to recognise hoteliers within the industry. The Unfold Awards celebrate the amazing achievements of Mews’ customers, shining the spotlight on those who help to move the industry forward. With 900+ people in attendance, the room was full of property owners, general managers and tech experts, hopeful to win one of the heavily coveted awards.

Properties and brands in the industry could nominate themselves for the awards in each category, in the lead up to the big day. Once the nominations were in, their esteemed judges reviewed submissions and chose the winners. Judges representing the Mews Leadership team were Leah Anathan CMO, Paul Mooney CCO and Josef Starychfojtu CTPO.

Categories were Most Innovative Guest Experience, Most Innovative Staff Experience, Trailblazer Award, Tech Team of the Year and the special honour of the day, Mews Community Champion, recognizing an individual who has truly shaped the Mews Community. This year’s winner was Mick Vazquez, YHA for his active contribution to the Mews community and how he embraced it all, enriching discussions with enthusiasm and passion.

A New Design Unfolds

The laser engraved brushed gold plated aluminium award just oozes luxury and works perfectly with the Mew’s expert branding. Winners received not only the beautiful trophy, but recognition across Mew’s public channels and an extra special prize to go towards their celebrations!
