Our Favourite Trophy Designs of 2024

At EFX we love creating new and exciting trophy and award designs – and 2024 has been a fantastic year for it!

We’re rounding up 2024 with a rundown of some of our absolute favourite trophies, and explaining why we think they’re a little extra special.

Shooting Stars – The Reyes Cup

This is the inaugural year of the Reyes Cup, a thrilling 9 ball pool tournament held between the best players from Europe and Asia and named for the great Efren Reyes.

In October, Team Asia achieved an 11-6 victory over Europe in Manila, with the winners receiving this fantastic plated aluminium trophy.

We’ve chosen this as one of our favourite trophy designs of 2024 for its shooting stars that swoop out from the base and intertwine, giving a real sense of motion and movement.

This trophy can be appreciated from every angle, with the four stars (in two different designs) moving out in different directions.

On Track for Victory – F1 Drive London

F1 Drive at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London is the UK’s only karting experience that’s officially partnered with F1 racing. 

Their iconic indoor track is the inspiration behind this trophy design, and a key reason that it’s become one of our favourite awards of 2024.

Not only does this trophy pay homage to the track, it almost recreates it. The gold, silver and bronze finish of each trophy is combined with a contrasting red acrylic to highlight the inner wall, and a printed and pierced carbon fibre effect to mimic the floor.

This creates a wonderful 3D rendering of this distinctive course, really bringing it to life. 

Heading for the Win – LeMieux

The LeMieux National Championship is one of the most prestigious events in dressage. For 2024, they wanted to take their trophies to a new level with a cutting edge design and a bold new look.

Inspired by a drawing, this design used silhouette and colour contrast to create a beautiful impression of a horse’s head and mane.

It’s a combination of elegance and simplicity, with the gold and black colours beautifully showcasing how both the horse and the brand are intertwined.

Winning as a Team – Chelsea Partner Awards

One of the reasons we love these awards is that rather than a single trophy, it’s a full suite of different awards all based around a central design concept.

The Chelsea FC Partner Cup is a fantastic event held by Chelsea Football Club to celebrate and have some fun with their key partners as part of their own football tournament held on the Stamford Bridge pitch!

Awards are given out not just to the winners, but also the runners up, the player and goal of the day, meaning there were two different trophy designs and a selection of medals to design and manufacture.

The result was a fantastic 600mm tall winners trophy, with a high shine silver cup supported by swooping arms anchored by the club crest.

The smaller trophies matched the crest section of the winners trophy, but in acrylic in the club colours. The medals were digitally printed with the crest as well, as well as the Partner Cup logo.

Ready for a Challenge – Gladiators

This year’s Gladiators trophy and medals were inspired by the show’s iconic logo and brand colours – which still call back to the original series.

With a combination of aluminium and acrylic with printed and engraved details, not only is this trophy striking, it also feels like the classic red and blue Gladiators colours are shining out from it.

This brings a whole new dimension to the design which we really love.

Similarly, the medals are a lot more than just the logo – they’re made with raised elements to create a polydome, bringing texture and fun into the medal design.

We hope contenders agree it’s a great reward for their achievements!

High Performance Award – Audi Q Power

Audi’s Q Power Awards were created to reward and recognise the very best new car sales centres in the UK.

This trophy is one of our favourites of the year for its sharp, stylish design and crisp laser finish.

With layered sections of anodised aluminium in silver, black and red, these trophies immediately make an impact, with a great contrast of colour and shape.

The laser engraved finish is beautifully distinct creating a standout award that makes a real impact.
